Château Meyney

Château Meyney, located in the appellation of Saint-Éstephe in Bordeaux, is one of the oldest wineries in the region, with a history dating back to 1662. The estate covers 51 hectares of vineyards, ideally located on a hill overlooking the Gironde River. The soils consist of clay, limestone and a deep gravel layer, which contributes to the structure and complexity of the wines.

The vineyards are planted with 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot, a blend that reflects the classic power and elegance of Saint-Éstephe. The grapes are carefully hand-harvested and undergo rigorous selection to ensure the highest quality. After fermentation, the wine matures in French oak barrels, some 40% of which are new, adding extra depth and refinement.

Château Meyney's grand vin is known for its rich and full-bodied character, with aromas of black fruit, spice and a hint of graphite. The firm tannic structure offers excellent storage potential, allowing the wines to develop further over time. In addition to the grand vin, the estate also produces a second wine, Prieur de Meyney, which is more accessible at a younger age and reflects the same care and precision.

With its rich history, exceptional terroir and dedication to craftsmanship, Château Meyney remains a popular choice among wine lovers who want to experience the authentic charm of Saint-Éstephe.
