Château Marsyas Red

The Château Marsyas Red 2016 is an exceptional red wine from the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon, produced by the renowned Saadé family. This wine combines the rich terroir of the region with craftsmanship and a modern vision, resulting in a powerful and elegant wine that reflects the essence of Lebanese wines.

The blend consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Petit Verdot. This combination delivers a harmonious balance of structure, fruit and complexity, with each grape variety contributing its unique character. The grapes are carefully harvested and vinified by hand to ensure the highest quality.

In the glass, the 2016 Château Marsyas Red shows a deep ruby red colour. The bouquet opens with intense aromas of blackcurrants, ripe plums, spices and a subtle hint of graphite and cedar. On the palette, the wine offers a silky texture with ripe, well-integrated tannins and lively acidity. Flavours of blackberries, chocolate and a hint of spice lead to a long, elegant finish with mineral accents.

The wine has aged for 12 to 18 months in French oak barrels, a significant proportion of which is new. This ageing adds complexity and refinement without overpowering the fruit expression.
