Château de Charodon Pommard
The Château de Charodon Pommard 2022 is a powerful and refined Pinot Noir from the iconic appellation of Pommard, located in the Côte de Beaune. This wine is made from grapes derived from calcareous and clay-rich soils, which contribute to the distinctive structure and depth of Pommard wines. The 2022 vintage shows an excellent balance between intensity and elegance, with an expressive display of the unique terroir.
In the glass, the wine presents itself with a deep ruby colour and a complex aroma of black cherries, blackberries, violets and subtle earthy notes. On the palette, the Pommard 2022 offers firm but refined tannins, lively acidity and a rich texture. The long, powerful finish is characterised by notes of cedar, spices and a mineral touch.
The Château de Charodon Pommard 2022 has matured for 14 months in French oak barrels, 25% of which are new. This ageing adds depth and spicy complexity, while maintaining pure fruit expression.
Perfect to pair with dishes such as braised leg of venison, a côte de boeuf with a red wine sauce, or a creamy gratin of potato and mushrooms. The Château de Charodon Pommard 2022 is an impressive wine that perfectly embodies the craftsmanship and passion of this historic house.
