The 2014 Mt. Brave Cabernet Sauvignon is a majestic wine from the steep slopes of Mount Veeder in Napa Valley. The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is made of 90.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Merlot, 3.5% Cabernet Franc and 2% Malbec. This exceptional wine reflects the rugged beauty and unique terroir of this high-altitude region, where conditions are ideal for producing complex and powerful wines.

The grapes for this wine are harvested by hand from vines growing on thin, rocky soils at an altitude of 425 to 550 metres. This terroir ensures low yields but exceptional concentration and intensity in the grapes.

In the glass, the wine shows a deep, opaque ruby colour. The bouquet is intense and refined, with aromas of cassis, black cherries, graphite, violets and a subtle hint of dark chocolate and cedar. On the palette, the 2014 Mt. Brave Cabernet Sauvignon offers impressive structure with firm, ripe tannins and lively acidity. Flavours of blackberry, cassis, tobacco and a hint of spice are followed by a long, complex finish with mineral accents.

The wine has matured for 22 months in French oak barrels, 80% of which are new. This ageing adds layering and refinement, while the fruit expression and terroir remain central.

With a storage potential of 15 to 20 years, this wine comes into its own alongside grilled lamb chops, venison back with a dark berry sauce or a rich truffle risotto. The 2014 Mt. Brave Cabernet Sauvignon is a superb example of Napa Valley craftsmanship and offers an unforgettable wine experience.
