Bodegas Félix Callejo Flores de Callejo

The Flores de Callejo 2024 is a lively and expressive red wine from Ribera del Duero, beautifully showcasing the fresh and accessible side of Tinto Fino (Tempranillo). Produced by Bodegas Félix Callejo, this wine reflects the energy of young vineyards and the precision of modern vinification.

The grapes are harvested by hand from higher altitude vineyards, rising to around 930 metres, where the large temperature differences between day and night ensure freshness and aromatic intensity. The 2024 vintage is characterised by a balanced growing season, resulting in grapes with ripe fruit and retention of natural acidity.

In the glass, the wine presents itself with a bright ruby red colour. The bouquet is expressive and fruit-driven, with aromas of ripe cherries, blackberries and raspberries, complemented by subtle floral notes and a slight spiciness. On the palette, the Flores de Callejo offers juicy structure, soft tannins and refreshing acidity. Flavours of red and black fruits are supported by a slight minerality and a smooth, drinkable finish.

The wine is aged briefly on stainless steel and partly in used oak barrels, preserving its pure fruit character and adding only subtle extra complexity.

The Flores de Callejo 2024 is a versatile gourmet wine that pairs excellently with grilled meats, charcuterie and lighter game dishes. Thanks to its fresh and accessible style, this wine is very attractive both young and suitable for short ageing in bottle.
